Welcome to this little web site where I will be showing how my boat
building is getting on.
The boat is a Lysander (see picture on the left) and I am making it
from plans purchased from the Lysander owners association. You can see
more about this type of boat at the www.lysander.org.uk web
site where you will also find pictures of member's boats.
I don't change this web site very often, as progress can be
slow. So to save you re-visting here and finding that it is just the
same as last time click here

I have completed the hull. This involved making a frame and covering it with a plywood skin ( see also keels ) which was then finished by sheathing with glassfibre and epoxy and then painting. I have most recently completed the cockpit and am now working on the cabin. The picture on the left was taken in April 2007.
I have other pictures of the build apart from those published on the web site, and also higher resolution versions of all of them, so if anybody would like more detail of any particular stage of the construction I may be able to help - please just mail and ask.
